The 1987 Fox Body gave us a whole new look through an upgraded front facia and flush-fitting 6-piece headlights. The GT models got a whole new ground effects kit. Both LX and GT had the “Mustang” name molded into the front and rear bumpers. The interior saw a much more modern interior and departed from the 1978 Ford Fairmont interior. Ford also brought back the open-chamber design heads as E7TE due to the lack of performance of the E6 heads.
